The plate is casual and modern with handpainted, charming blue lines as design highlight.
Do note that the plate had glossy, textured surface and more reflective than the rest of the Blueline collection.
The simple, cobalt lines are meant to bring diner's attention to the food that is contained within, creating a picturesque set up for any dining tables.

Handmade Ceramics White Plate with Blue lines

While it is common for white porcelain to be baked in 1250°C kiln,
Artist Kim Seok Binn bakes his stoneware in higher temperature of 1300°C to decrease water absorption and create lighter yet more durable ceramics.

    Blueline Plate

Posted by viv on 24th Nov 2020

I FELL IN LOVE with this piece for two things -- its assymetry, that little bit that juts out from the rim of a plate and the wavy, undulated surface. That winged tip is not only aesthetically pleasing, it is truly practical. It gives you a nice, cosy thumb grip -- all the better to feel the plate! About the blue line, look closely and you can imagine the tip of a paint brush traveling the entire circumference of the plate, executed with utter control and meditation, It travels mostly with the same thickness end to end, but somewhere along the way, for just a split second, it surprises you with a thicker blue impression. A machine could never have produced this. The last thing I love about all the Blueline ceramic ware is the inscribed signature on the underside ... go on, turn the plate over, Kim Seok Binn is saying hello!
