What a year! I moved to Dallas in August 2016 and I can’t believe it’s been a year. We were crazy busy this past year planning for our wedding, which was a dream! But man, all that planning and prepping was stressful at times - especially because we were planning remotely (the wedding was in NY). Anyway! Now that our schedule’s are back to normal and things have calmed down a bit, I’m really wanting to get back on here with some updates!

  • It’s STILL hot (and I mean hot, hot) in Texas… The summer is still looming and I’m so ready for some Fall weather. Definitely makes me miss and appreciate NY this time of year!
  • Married life is fun! We love being back on normal schedules - sleeping in on weekends, cooking, relaxing, etc. Pre-wedding life was exciting but consistently hectic! It kind of seemed like there was a never-ending to do list! So much fun but also a nice relief to be a bit less busy these days. Last weekend we spent part of our Sunday at Bishop Arts District; we walked around, popped into some shops, and tried out the cider brewery. The photo on this post is from outside of Dirt Flowers, the coolest little plant shop & florist. Go check them out!
  • We miss our dog! Last year we decided to take our pup to Georgia, where B’s parents live. We had been so busy and traveling so much… Leaving him cooped up in an apartment or wasn’t fair to him, especially since he needs a lot of exercise… He’s a German short-haired pointer, so instinctively he’s a hunting dog. He has A LOT of energy. Since Bryan’s parents live on a golf course, he’s out there living the dream. And thankfully, Bryan’s parent’s love him… Once we figure out our next step in terms of where we’ll live (that’s an ever-changing topic), we definitely want him back with us!
  • Work, work, work… has been good and keeping me busy, but my commute has kinda been driving me crazy [no pun intended]… It takes up to two hours our of my day so I’m ready to get that time reduced so I can have more time to work on my own projects! Stay tuned :)

That’s about it for now! I plan on posting separately about our Wedding and Honeymoon! It was a dream!

Thank you so much for reading!
